ARC Narooma Forest Rally — Bates and Taylor Win Again in GR Yaris, Break Heat Win Record to Lead Championship by 20 Points

World Stage Journal
A perfect Narooma weekend — 12 stages, two heat wins. Harry Bates and Coral Taylor stretch their lead over Scott Pedder to 20 championship points
Round 3 of the 2026 EROAD Australian Rally Championship, the Narooma Forest Rally, was held June 27–29 in New South Wales. Harry Bates and co-driver Coral Taylor swept both heats and all 12 stages in their Toyota GR Yaris Rally2 to claim their second victory of the season. In doing so, Bates broke the ARC all-time record for most Heat wins and extended his championship lead to 20 points over Scott Pedder.
The Narooma Forest Rally was a new addition to the 2026 ARC calendar. Set in state forest in the southern highlands of New South Wales, it offered a technically demanding gravel course of steep gradients and blind corners. The ARC's distinctive two-heat format — running the same course twice over two days, with each heat scored separately — rewards crews who can read the surface differently between morning and afternoon runs.
