引領我走進砂石計時賽的，是全日本冠軍的叔父。我本來就熱愛WRC和拉力賽，一直夢想著有朝一日能在礫石路上奔馳，叔父的邀請讓我第一次踏上了砂石賽道。那一天的感覺——恐懼與興奮同時湧來的那個瞬間，成了我今天一切的出發點。
我在搬到北海道之後才開始認真投入砂石賽。此前我也參加過鋪裝路面的繞樁賽，但第一次站在泥土上的感覺截然不同。當我的身體理解到抓地力不是「給予」的，而是需要「尋找」的那一刻，我領悟到了這項運動的深度。
